WILLIAM STUMPF AND ASSOCIATES Equa Chair.
Time Magazine's Design of the Decade. In developing the Equa chair, introduced in 1984, Bill Stump and Don Chadwick analyzed plenty of available seating options and found that office seating was becoming more specialized in terms of how people sit in their chairs and the tasks they perform. The goal was to develop a chair that was the opposite - to allow the user to move around, perform a variety of tasks, and sit in a variety of positions throughout the day.
